A new orchard of 7 apple trees is planted at Hilly Fields by around 50 members of the local community and members of Transition Brockley, Friends of Hilly Fields and The London Orchard Project.
Successful funding application with the BXAG to continue the community garden project at Brockley Station

2010

Members of the group undertake the London Orchard Project's orchard management training
October/November
The last of the fruit harvesting events come to an end and final preparations are made for the new orchard planting in December
September
First fruit harvesting events take place in Grove Park and Brockley.
Participated in an event organised by the Brockley Cross Action Group to celebrate 10 years of work and improvements at Brockley Common.
The Brockley Harvest features on Time Out's website as one of London's best harvesting groups!

Maintenance of the Brockley Common planting.
Spoke to major supermarkets about how they can get involved more locally to on such issues as recycling, waste disposal, food growing.

Hosted a spontaneous planting event on the temporary patch of land destined to become a performance area at Brockley Station.
Co-ordinated ourselves and other participants at the Hilly Fields Fayre.

May
The London Orchard Project came down to Brockley to check out their first site at Lilac House which is now established and also the new site up at Hilly Fields.
Katie hosted an evening to discuss future fruit harvesting in Brockley.
Transitioners helped out with Brockley Cross Action Groups planting events at Brockley Station.

Fran and Katie met with local residents of PFI-managed housing in Brockley to discuss how they could get involved with Transition Towns;
